One of the reasons the Black Bass Lodge came into existence is the proximity to one of the world’s great fisheries. The diversity and flavor of the fresh local foods is unparalleled. We have a full time Chef and assistant chef on site that can make almost anything the guests can dream up:
Breakfast: fresh fruit, coffee, breads, tortillas, huevos rancheros, pancakes, banana bread, chili rellenos, fresh ranch machaca, or really anything you want. Lunch: fish is most popular in tacos, sandwiches, or with veggies and rice. We can do sandwiches, ceviche, sausages, machaca, beef or chicken tacos or burritos, soups, sashimi, raw clams, grilled clams, crab, shrimp, burgers, or really anything you want. If we are doing a daytime activity, food to go is available. Dinner: Lobster is a fall favorite. When available, we buy them fresh from the local cooperative, Oysters are insanely good, fresh, fried or smoked. We can also order a fresh goat from the local mountain ranches to grill and make Birria, we can do seafood stew, raw bar, wine pairings, Italian fresh pasta and pizza, smoked seafood, locally sourced beef. The sky is the limit for dinner, we usually eat a little later after the sun sets, and hopefully the wind dies. House favorite is surf and turf with green chili mashed potatoes and Baja Wine. Do not miss a chance to have a wood fired roasted chili chicken night. Tangy, spicy, and slow cooked over wood mesquite, served with tortillas, fresh salsa, and tender rice. |
