Fundraiser Donation Program
The Black Bass Lodge is proud to support fundraising efforts for organizations whose missions align with our values. Each year we donate a limited number of stays to be auctioned at charitable events. Below is an overview of what we offer and how our program works.
WHAT WE DONATE
We offer two donation packages for your fundraiser:
Both packages include exclusive use of the entire lodge: four beachfront rooms, over 3,000 square feet of shared dining and deck space, full staff on-site (private chef, bartender, and manager), and cleaning service during your stay.
WHAT YOUR ORGANIZATION COVERS
The lodge itself is donated at no cost. However, to operate the lodge during the donated stay, your organization is responsible for a flat operating fee of $450 per day, which covers staff wages and variable expenses (food, utilities, consumables, and cleaning).
Payment terms: This fee is paid by your organization to The Black Bass Lodge upon the completion of your fundraising event, regardless of the final auction proceeds. The fee is non-refundable and is owed whether or not the winning bidder ultimately redeems the stay.
ADDITIONAL GUESTS
The lodge can accommodate up to 16 guests total, sharing the four rooms. Additional guests beyond the first 8 are $75 per person, per day, paid directly to the lodge by the guests.
AVAILABILITY & REDEMPTION
Donated stays are available year-round except October and November, which are reserved for our regular booking season. Dates are subject to availability and must be mutually agreed upon between the winning bidder and the lodge.
The winning bidder has 12 months from the date of your fundraising event to redeem the stay, excluding the
October–November blackout period.
OPTIONAL ADD-ONS (BOOKED SEPARATELY BY GUESTS)
We're happy to help the winning bidder arrange any of the following during their stay. These are paid directly to the
lodge or to local providers by the guests:

Retail value: $3,150 - 5-Night Stay
A five-night stay at The Black Bass Lodge for up to 8 guests, including all meals prepared by our private chef.
Retail value: $5,250

- Fishing boat charters — $450 per day
- Pro fisherman kayak rentals (Hobie Outback Pro) — $120 per day
- Whale watching excursions — seasonal, through local operators
- Bar drinks — available for purchase at the lodge
- Other local excursions — we can coordinate activities offered by the Punta Abreojos community

HOW TO GET THERE
Punta Abreojos is a remote destination, and part of its charm is the journey. There are two primary ways to reach the lodge:
- Option 1: Drive from San Diego
From San Diego, drive approximately 612 miles south to Punta Abreojos — roughly 11 hours door to door. This option is best for guests who are experienced Baja travelers, want to bring their own gear (boards, rods, coolers), or enjoy the classic road trip down the peninsula. - Option 2: Fly to Loreto
Fly into Loreto International Airport (LTO), rent a car, and drive approximately 200 miles north and west to Punta Abreojos. This is the faster and easier option for most guests. On the return, we recommend spending your final night at La Misión in Loreto before catching your flight home — it makes the journey back far more comfortable.
Loreto Option Add-On: Private Van & Spanish-Speaking Guide
For guests who'd prefer not to drive themselves, we offer a private van with a Spanish-speaking guide for the entire stay for $3,500 (up to 7 days). The guide handles driving, local logistics, and helps bridge any language gaps — a great option for groups who want to relax from the moment they land.
